dUSTER ARCHIVE
The Duster Archive has been collecting used dusters from Filipinx, South & South Asian women since 2015. Dusters are 'mumus' or soft, comfortable, breathable dresses often made of cotton, worn around the house by women while doing housework and caring for the family. These dusters collected are no longer wearable (too worn, old, etc.) or have been collected from women who have passed away. Photographs of the dusters reveal evidence of women's labor; oil splatters, hair dye, tears and rips.
